Yes – All our prices shown on Designed4Doors include V.A.T. at the current prevailing rate of 20%.

All our Lever Door handles are supplied in pairs and with the fixings and spindle. This means that when you place an order for Quantity 1, we will send you 2 individual door handles to complete both sides of 1 door.

Our Pull Handles and Cabinet Handles are sold each.

Our Mortice and Rim Door Knobs are sold in pairs, whilst Centre Door Knobs and Cabinet Door Knobs are sold each.

You can be sure to know exactly what you will receive for a given item on the item page itself (the “Unit of Sale” line of the “Key Features” chart).

No, the handles at Designed4Doors are supplied without locks or latches. This is the standard practice for the supply for door handles in the United Kingdom, since there are various sizes and types of locks and latches used for different applications and situations; they therefore are available for purchase separately.

It is likely that if you are ordering door handles and already have locks or latches in place that these will still work perfectly fine with the new handles.

  • A Latch Door Handle is one which has a plain backplate (i.e. with no keyhole or thumbturn on it), and is typically used as a standard door handle on internal doors.
  • A Lock Door Handle has a keyhole cut into the backplate for use on a door with a lock.
  • A Bathroom Door Handle has a turn and release integrated so that the door can be locked from inside for privacy purposes.

Yes, (during our opening ours of 9am-5pm Monday to Friday) we are able to take your entire order over the telephone, including processing your card payment if this is your preference. Please be assured that the prices displayed to you on the Designed4Doors website will still apply. Please note we are only able to dispatch goods to the card holder’s address to comply with our fraud protection procedures.

P&P and Delivery

We aim to get your order to you within 2-5 working days. If your order contains a mix of products, they will be despatched together in one consignment.

We do encourage you to give us a call if you are wishing to place an order needed urgently, as we may be able to help.

In the event that there is an unforeseen delay with part or all of your order, we will contact you to let you know how we are trying to make things right for you, including shipping your order in multiple parts if possible and if this is acceptable to you.

Orders over £32 will be sent via DPD Courier Service.

Orders under £32 will be sent via Royal Mail (except in the event of being unusually heavy).

  • Delivery is free if your order is above £50 total for most UK delivery locations.
  • Delivery is free for orders over £80 total for the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, and UK offshore locations (such as Scottish islands, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man).
  • Delivery under the Free Shipping threshold is £6.68 for items dispatched by carrier – i.e. if over £32 or over 2kg.
  • Royal Mail postage rates (2nd Class) will be charged for smaller orders (under 2kg in weight and/or under £32 in value) as follows:
    • Large Letter 0-100g: £0.76
    • Large Letter 101-250g: £1.07
    • Large Letter 251-500g: £1.25
    • Large Letter 501-750g: £1.64
    • Small Parcel up to 1kg: £2.58
    • Small Parcel up to 1.25kg: £2.94
    • Small Parcel up to 1.5kg: £3.00
    • Small Parcel up to 1.75kg: £3.00
    • Small Parcel up to 2kg: £3.00

Please note that we only charge you the rate we are ourselves charged by our carrier or Royal Mail. Unlike some companies, we do not think it is right to try and make people pay more than it costs in reality for carriage.

Placing an Order at Designed4Doors

Yes. We take the security of your personal data very seriously. As such Designed4Doors has an Extended Validation SSL Certificate, ensuring that your information remains strictly confidential. All card payments made on Designed4Doors are protected by SagePay.

We encourage you to Contact Us as soon as possible after realising that you need to amend or cancel your Designed4Doors order.

We will try our best to amend your order upon hearing from you, but cannot guarantee that we will always be to do this if the items have already been packed for dispatch.

If we have already dispatched your order from our facility then amendment or cancellation can still take place through our usual Returns Policy procedures.

If you need to add products to an existing order, simply place a new order for these items, or give us a call free at 0800 711 7393 to place the new order over the phone. We will, of course, be happy to apply our Free Shipping savings to any such new order that is received before the first order eligible for free shipping has been dispatched.

Yes. We are committed to ensuring that you are happy with your purchase from Designed4Doors, but will of course accept returns of part or whole orders if you are in any way unsatisfied. In order to make a return, please:

  1. Contact Us by email or telephone to explain what you are returning and why you would like to return it, so that we can make arrangements for you to be refunded upon the return of the item.
  2. Return the item(s) to us within 28 days of you receiving your order, unused and with their original packaging.

NB: We will happily refund the cost of return carriage to us in the event that the item is found to be faulty.

All of our products on Designed4Doors offer the mechanical guarantee from the manufacturer in question; this can vary in length, but is usually a minimum of 12 months (and often for many years more).

Yes, most likely. We strive to bring you the best value in the UK marketplace for Door Ironmongery, but it can sometimes be tricky to stay completely up to date with other prices out in the market. We are more than happy to offer our Designed4Doors Price Match Policy, meaning we will always do our utmost to match or supply at a cheaper price any product that you may have found elsewhere (provided that the product you have found elsewhere is an exact brand match).
